Your Suite in Porthole Suites has all you need to store your cereal, bread, butter and milk and you also have the facilities to cook a full English breakfast 🙂 But what happens if you fancy eating breakfast out, especially since spring has started? Here’s where you can get breakfast in St Aubin, Jersey – and all establishments are within 1-2 minutes’ walk from us:

The Food Hall
This is St Aubin’s general store, and it opens at 7am. From here you can get provisions for breakfast at The Porthole Suites, or buy hot breakfast buns and drinks for takeaway. There’s often a deal on and the coffee is nice. You can take your goodies and sit on benches by the pretty harbour, or on the low sea wall or rocks by the Yacht Club slipway, which overlooks St Aubin’s Fort and Le Vau Varin beach.
Fort View Café
Positioned at the start of St Aubin’s Bay and tucked away behind The Boat House and Parish Hall, Fort View opens at 8.30am and offers indoor and outdoor seating (lovely views) and very nice breakfast food.
Bon Viveur café & restaurant
You’ll find the Bon Viveur along the Bulwarks, next to the Methodist Church, overlooking the harbour and catching the morning sun. It also opens at 8am and offers indoor and outdoor seating. (Note, it is not open in the winter.)
Murray’s café & restaurant
Handily placed right next to the bus stop and opposite the car park and popular with locals, Murray’s opens at 9am and offers comfy indoor and some outdoor seating for you to sit in comfort over a scrumptious breakfast. Murray’s also offer takeaway hot drinks.
The Boat House
The Boat House, down by the harbour (next to the Parish Hall) opens at 10am. You can get breakfast here or just a coffee and bun. There’s a range of indoor and outdoor seating and lovely views across the harbour (and St Aubin’s bay from some seating areas). Don’t be put off by the (current) scaffolding; BH are refurbing upstairs and replacing the roof – the downstairs is just fine.
We hope that will do you for your stay, but if you want to find out about breakfast venues elsewhere, just ask us!
