Butterflies and Bees at Hamptonne

We’ve just been reminded that there’s a special family event being run by Jersey Heritage at Hamptonne this Sunday, 22 May: a chance to learn all about butterflies and bees and how they can be helped and encouraged into your garden.

You’ll find Hamptonne at the top of Waterworks Valley, which is itself a lovely part of the island and a perfect place to see some of the island’s wildlife. The road through the valley is generally quiet, so it’s good for cycling, too, and there is a footpath along much of its length that takes you away from the road and lets you explore the adjacent woods and streams.

You will need good footwear on the paths, especially after wet weather.
