One of those is the increasing number of visitors as the holiday season gets underway. Another is the spring flowers. The lanes have been full of daffodils for weeks now, and you’ll still find them in many shadier spots, and the verges and hedgerows are now doing that life-affirming thing they do every year by bursting into bloom once again.
Not to be outdone, gardens, planters and hanging baskets are starting to fill with flowers, too. Ours don’t look very spectacular just yet, but they soon will:
As well as the picture-perfect (and perfumed) blossoms, you will also be able to see fields full of Jersey Royal potatoes at this time of year. The birds are in full voice again, too.
Of course, there are a lot more plants and flowers to be enjoyed in our terraced private gardens, with their own abundand wildlife and wonderful views of St Aubin’s village and the bay:
Whether you’re visiting us at Porthole Suites or not, we do hope you’ll be able to enjoy the spring sunshine and the sights, sounds and smells of Jersey at this special time of year.
