Suites’ FAQs

Do we need to bring our own sheets and towels?
No 🙂 The apartments are fully serviced and we provide linen and bathroom towels – but please bring your own beach towels!
Do you provide an iron and board?
Yes, each suite has its own iron and full sized ironing board. 
What is meant ‘light cooking facilities?’

In each studio suite there is an area with light cooking facilities including

  • Microwave combi oven
  • Dual hob
  • Fridge with ice box
  • Kettle
  • Toaster
  • Pots and pans
  • Crockery, glasses and utensils

Is there an oven?
There isn’t a full-sized oven, but there is a microwave combo oven, a twin hob and fridge with ice box.  
Do all suites have a bath?
No, the two Ground Floor Suites have baths, and all suites have lovely shower facilities.
Do the Suites have laundry facilities?
No, but the Boulevard Launderette is 10-20 seconds’ walk from our door! We wash your  bed linen and the towels we supplied you with.
How early can I check in?
We try to get suites ready for your arrival, but this can be tricky when we have same day departures. Let us now your ETA and we will do our best to have your suite ready if you are arriving before 3.00pm.  
Can we leave our luggage before/after check in/out?
Yes, if you are arriving/departing when suites are not available we have a left luggage area. 
Is there parking at Porthole Suites?

We have our own private car park situated at the front of the building. It it
solely for guest use and can accommodate about 6 cars on a first come first served
basis.  
If we can’t park in the Porthole Suites car park, where will we park?
If it’s very busy with guests bringing cars into our car park, you can park in the village which is just a few minutes’ walk away.

FREE: There is also free parking from 5pm-8am and all day Sunday. There are areas in the village that offer two/three hours’ free parking provided you have a parking disc (available to buy locally); if you don’t have a disc, a scratch card will cover you for the duration.

PAID: Paid areas are 74p an hour and you need to use pre-paid scratch cards; these are available from the village Food Store and a number of places around the Island. . )  

Eating FAQs

Is there a supermarket nearby?
Yes, St Aubin’s Food Hall is less than a minute’s walk away.  Opening times are:

  • Monday – Saturday 7.00am – 9.00pm
  • Sunday 7.30am- 9.00pm

Please note we have a local 5% tax on goods and newspapers, so don’t be surprised to be paying 5p more per £ than you were expecting!

Carrier bags are charged for at 5p in all shops.

Where can we have breakfast?

You won’t go hungry in St Aubin’s, even in mid-winter!

You can get breakfast supplies from the Food Store, which is less than a minute’s walk away from the Porthole Suites.  The Food Store is open every day from 7.00am until about 8.00pm.

If you want to eat al fresco – for example, while sitting next to the harbour or by the Yacht Club slip way – you can get a decent coffee and bun/hot sausage roll to take away from the Food Store for £1.30.

There are numerous places to eat in St Aubin, and many of them offer breakfast. Harbour View opens at 8.00am, Murray’s at 9.00am, and the Boat House at 10.00am, and there are more besides.

In addition, the lunch and dinner choices in St Aubin are extensive & excellent.

Getting Around Jersey FAQs

Do you have bicycle storage facilities?
Yes, we have a bike storage area.
Do we need a car?
No, we are very well connected with an excellent bus service and cycle/walking paths. You can also get taxis. 
How do we get to you from the airport?
You can get to us via taxi, bus or car – click here for full details.
How do we get to you from the harbour?
You can get to us via taxi/your car or by bus. You can walk, but it’s about an hour and not so much fun if you have cases! click here for full directions
